Do they actually think they can cover it up or make people forget about what is happening in Sudan or what is the deal? I have noticed this before. Why is it that when someone posts a question asking about some radical action by muslims, the question is deleted? If they think their religion is so great, then why don't they let people talk about what they are doing? Your thoughts please before this question gets deleted by some Muslim who doesn't want us talking about their religion.

Religions that claim to be the only way to God are big on censorship.

They fear any one learning the truth.

While it's true that fanatical Muslim extremists can run rampant and out of control, it is only a minority. Many people lump all Muslims together under the same umbrella and that is simply not fair nor equitable. It's like lumping all Christians under Timothy McVeys umbrella or Jim Jone's screwball take on things.

When one is a visitor to any country, one should be aware of the customs and courtesies of that country. The Muslim faith prohibits physical depictions of their prophet Muhammed....period.....

This teacher - and others who intrude themselves upon Islamic countries - simply must realize they are in a very restrictive country and the citizens have strict rules of behavior. It is, after all, their country and their faith. Visitors have the responsibility to respect their rules and laws. This poor teacher was obviously ill-equipped to be teaching in that country...or was so ignorant of the laws that she shouldn't have been sent there.

In every religion, there are those that will take to the streets and generally stir things up - especially if the TV cameras are near by. Those seen protesting and demanding "justice" are a very small minority. Yet, every post I've read on here slams the whole religion, the country and it's citizens. It's a wonder more posts aren't pulled.

I hope this woman makes it out of the country OK. If she is put to death, it will cause a political incident and put an end to a worthy life. I think she should simply be deported and not permitted to return. But, who knows, it's their country, their rules. Too bad she wasn't more in touch with where she was and what she was doing.

We can only hope that negotiation will bring her to freedom and let her go home.

We should all keep in mind that every country is different....different beliefs, different religions, different cultures. It is not fair to bash everyone for the actions of a minority group.

I know I said something about how the Muslims believe in marrying up to seven wives (because a Muslim guy wanted me to be part of his harem, no kidding) and they can choose their nieces if they want...and something about a the tendency toward more genetic defects because of being so close in family. I got SLAMMED with hateful remarks, saying I was a racist, being intolerant when all I was doing was asking a simple question. That's scary...can someone find out where I live through my computer?

It is not that islam is afraid to talk about their religion, it is just that it is such a peace and loving religion that they want to kill for any reason. Just imagine the whole world like that if they are allowed to expand.

Look, as stupid as the Mohammed teddy bear incident is, it's no more representative of Islam than David Koresh was of Christianity, or O'Hair was of atheism.

It's some fanatics using this incident for their own benefit. Stop dragging all Muslims into it.

Because their faith is weak, and deep down they know that they are wrong- people in sudan have been calling for the execution of the teacher. Take a look at honour killings- these people are evil, and they know that we know that, and it makes them uncomfortable.

Extreme Islamists, as with extreme religious people anywhere, are basically savages, and should be treated as such.

People believe what they're raised to believe. It's embarrassing when you grow up and find out what it is you've been supporting, but it's hard for people to ever admit they were wrong.
