The bible starts off with a war in "heaven" in the first and ends with numerous wars in the book of revelation. How do Christians reconcile the fact that Ahem..... God knew all these events would happen in advance?

Num 15:32-36 NRSV)

When the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day.

Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses, Aaron, and to the whole congregation.

They put him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him outside the camp."

The whole congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death,

just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

If you reverse your question to read "Since Man is all about war should we be surprised that our Gods are" then you'd have something.

And sense God is into wiping out entire cities with plagues, natural disasters, or just plain ol' smiting, is it any surprise that humans do that with the same power-hungry glee as their Creator?

It happened because of "free will"... the free will card is used again and again all day every day. Anything that should be blamed on God can be sufficiently directed at others - free will is why everything sucks.
