i have to write an essay on a topic of your own choosing in any sub-field of the Computer Science discipline. i have chosen Computer Basics, what is a computer, hardware, software, internet and the web, and the future of computers.
can you tell me what i should include within the subtitles of the above mentioned?
any ideas how should the layout be?

Im a computer tech and build/repair. I cannot answer these questions, but I will tell you. Have the information, and either hand draw layout diagrams or make them on the computer and put them into it. The worst thing I see with people is not being able to visualize some of the things we say when we speak computers.

Just a starter: A computer is made up of hardware and software. Hardware is split into input and output devices. Name all the components of a computer and describe each one's functions. Memory - RAM v ROM, gb, hz etc. etc.

If you are too lazy (or too dumb) to do it yourself, do what everyone else is doing == steal a few ideas from some-one who has done it already ...
