I met him over a year ago and at that time was still hooked on my ex.now im over my x and started dating/sleeping with this guy i met a year ago, he is super sweet and respects me and wants to be in a relationship together.only things that bug me are the fact that he is divorced and has a 10 yr old daughter that he sees every other weekend. is that a problem? she is sweet, and he is a good dad.

It's a problem if it's a problem for you. It IS difficult when you are thrust into a family situation from the beginning. Be selfish for a moment and decide if he is worth the extra effort.

You have said nothing that would suggest that "going for him" is a bad idea - IF you have considered the additional stress and effort of the complex relationship that comes packaged with him.

People make mistakes and he could have. So yeah you should go for it, but also just be careful to see what happened and way things you might want to look for as you go forward

As a friend I think you should go for it if he respects you and cares for you like that I think it will go great for you

My dad dated my mom even though she had a kid (my brother) and my parents are happy together.
