Just wondering if Christians have ever really read all the stories about Moses... Christian god loves him some wars!
I love Happy Muslim's answer... we are a peaceful religion with a peaceful god, but he hates evil and orders us to eliminate evil. So how does one eliminate evil without doing evil themselves???

God as a concept is an all knowing perfect deity with absolute power over all of creation. This means that as a concept god would exists outside the realm of human understanding. God created the universe and the universe will follow the rules of this creation from start to finish. Humans might asign all manor of meaning to this or that but in the end it is merly a human interpration of Gods creation and so shall it be flawed as such. If you were inclined to think thusly then certain things become clear, like words good or bad are just human terms used to describe what we precieve and have no real bearing in phsyical reality. Also if god is all knowing and perfect then why would he make a universe that he would have to show up and "fix" every now then , no he would make the universe the way he wanted it to be the first time and not stop in to fix it here and there. So if something is bad its besuase you think so not because it goes against gods will. War is part of gods plan. to put it simple. if you dont like it or agree withit as a part of human nature that has nothing to do with the fact that it exist with or without your lables.

Christians claim Hesus Crishna is the God Of Peace, but in the book of Matthew there's a verse where Cristo claims he came not to bring peace on earth, but a sword. These kinds of things have been used to justify killing of millions upon millions of people over the last couple thousand years...
All from a book that's nothing more than fables about the Sun, planets, and the zodiac.

The god of Moses ("I am that I am") is Satan.
The god of the 10 commandments, the mountain of Sin, and the desert of Sin is Satan.
"For Jesus said Moses gave you not that bread from heaven"
"All that came before me are thieves and robbers"
"O' fools and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken.
"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness"
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Num 21:8-9
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. Rev 13:14-15
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Luke 4:5-7
Moses wanted the "promised land" and Satan said he would give it to him. (Satan mixed lies with truth). The land promised to Abraham was the kingdom of heaven.
The Church (temple)
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666) Rev 13:18
Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six (666) talents of gold,

the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, Matt 4:5
Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
--Ye worship ye know not what--: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. John 4:21-22

YHWH, historically, was a god of war. He was also believed to be tied to the land of a certain area. That is why the used to deliver carts of dirt to kings who wanted to worship him.

It's not only possible but your Hebrew God as written is a God of War, the bible starts off with war in heaven and ends with the book of revelation which details more war. I just love god so much, thanks for inventing him Hebrews

Is the Lord a God of Peace or of war?
Romans 15:33; Isaiah 2:4 and Exodus 15:3; Joel 3:9-10
God of Peace
(Isaiah 2:4) - "And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; and they will hammer their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war."
(Romans 15:33) - "Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen."
God of War
(Exodus 15:3) - "The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name."
(Joel 3:9-10) - "Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! Beat your plowshares into swords, 10And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, “I am a mighty man.”
Anyone can take verses out of context and compare them to other verses out of context and get a "contradiction." But, context is sacrificed in this manner and along with it, truth is lost. In Isaiah 2:4, God is giving a prophet announcement of a future time when He will be the one who settles disputes and there will be no more war. In Romans 15:33, it is simply said that God is a God of peace. He is.
Yet we have the verses that show God's judgmental side. In Exodus 15:3 we see God as a warrior. But the context is the destruction of the Egyptian Army. As we all know, Egypt had enslaved the Israelite nation and God simply became their warrior and delivered them. In Joel 3:9-10 we see a prophetic statement as the book of Joel clearly is prophetic in nature. In other words, there will come a time when it is required to fight.
There is no contradiction for God to be both the Lord who battles unrighteousness and also loves peace. This is just as true with people, who are really peaceful by nature, but will fight when the time requires it.

Are we not told that Christ is going to return and wage war against Satan. Are we not told that this war is going to destroy 2/3 of everything as we know it? Are we not told to fight the good fight? Is not God's anger a righteous anger that deserves to be justified? Didn't we bring all this down on ourselves?

this is one of his attributes, and so 2 of his titles given to him by our ancient patriarchs are related to this. this was how he was seen and understood traditionally. even communications from him were understood and interpreted according to the culture of the times. but the essence of his message remains the same throughout all generations, that we have to be pure as he is pure - that whatever does not lead you to him must not be allowed to exist in your mind and heart.
