Your mom's gone. She no longer needs your help. Do you feel guilty about not helping her before she died? Sounds like it.

I am not a muslim, so I don't know anything of what you believe in an afterlife.
Before my mom died (Nov 2004), she made me promise to take care of her dog, and to cry for her for a little while and then stop. She didn't want the burden of grief for her death to affect my life.
I think that's what your mom would want for you, too.
Take care.

I'm a muslim too, and I sympathize for you and your family. There is a way you can help her. Pray for her a lot. She can still benefit from it.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "When a person dies, all his deeds come to an end except three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity, e.g. a waqf or endowment), beneficial knowledge (which he has left behind), or a righteous child who will pray for him." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, no 1376; he said this is a saheeh hasan hadeeth)

Your Mom is okay. Help yourself by talking to her, praying for her soul, doing things that you enjoy and appreciating being alive.

You can help your mom by helping people remember her. Keep her memory alive and let people know what kind of a person she was.

you can't help anyone after they die
that is why it is called death
the person is dead and gone
maybe you should ask your question in a religion category and not the health section
