Mormons beliefs are:

They believe in Gods ( yes plural)

They believe if you are a good mormon when you die you become a god and get your own planet.

They believe the God of earth was a regular man on another planet and he resides near a star called KOLOB

They have special handshakes and secret names so they can find each other after they die.

They wear special secret underwear with secret religious symbols sewn into them that protect them from bullets and other bad things.

All of the following and more are FACTS and can be researched in the 3 books they have

The Bible is the forth book they use and when Mormon beliefs don't agree with the Bible they say that passage was interpreted wrong.

P.S. They say that Jesus had multiple wives when he was on earth.

We believe there are other gods but not Gods...(yes there is a difference) and we do not worship the other ones.

No

We do not believe he lives on a planet, but he is closest to a star called Kolob (he could just be floating out in space for all we know)

No, we don't have a secret handshake or names. My name is Brian Matthew....always has been, and most likely always will be (unless I see someone get killed and I'm in the WPP)

The underwear is not secret. If you want I can tell you what the symbols mean and why we have them. They do protect us from harm....but that doesn't mean if someone shoots you, you will live. If it's your turn to go, you'll go....it's just to remind us of our covenants we made with God...

That "fact" is wrong. The Bible is our FIRST book and we've not edited it, and everything that Joseph Smith received revelation was wrong is put in the footnotes. So the only difference between a Baptist's KJV and a Mormon's is the footnotes.

P.S. No we don't say that....

>They believe in Gods ( yes plural)<

I believe that there may be more than one god. I do not believe IN more than one god.

>They believe if you are a good mormon when you die you become a god and get your own planet.<

a. whatever "being a good mormon" means.
b. Paul said that we can be heirs of God and joint eirs with Jesus Christ.

>They believe the God of earth was a regular man on another planet (don't know He never told us)

and he resides near a star called KOLOB< (yes, there is a star called Kolob that is nearest where God is.

>They have special handshakes and secret names so they can find each other after they die.<

Well, that gets into temple rites and I don't discuss that.

>They wear special secret underwear with secret religious symbols sewn into them that protect them from bullets and other bad things.<

They aren't bullet-proof. They aren't magic. They just are.

>All of the following and more are FACTS and can be researched in the 3 books they have<

However, I don't believe you have read any of them in any depth.

>The Bible is the forth book they use and when Mormon beliefs don't agree with the Bible they say that passage was interpreted wrong.<

Yes, we don't disagree with the Bible, only with other's interpretations of it.

>They say that Jesus had multiple wives when he was on earth.<

They do? Some do. some don't. Some don't care.

Have you researched these in the 3 books you mentioned or are you taking someones word for it?

I do believe in plural gods. I only worship my Heavenly Father, but I believe that there are more. (It's called henotheism) It's not Mormon doctrine, but it's my understanding.

I believe that if anyone is a good person, lives a good life, and accepts the truth they can progress throughout eternity and eventually be able to create their own planets and people to live on them.

I believe that God progressed to the point where He is God. I don't know how that process went. And that yes, He does reside on a planet near Kolob.

The handshakes and names have other purposes.

The undergarments are not secret, and I do not expect them to be bullet-proof.

I've never found contradictions between any scriptures when taken in context. Taken out of context, even the Bible contridicts itself.

I also believe that Jesus was married, and he may have had multiple wives, but that is certainly not church doctrine. The only people I've heard mention it have never said it with certainty.

*They believe in God the Father. Jesus is his son and then you have the Holy Ghost (Godhead). Seperate bodies and duties(for lack of a better term), one in purpose. Frankly makes more sense then One critter doing 3 different jobs sometimes at the same time.
*If you are a "good" mormon you will have the opportunity to live in the Celestial kingdom(equal in glory to that of the sun) and can become Gods and Goddesses. So YES that is a true statement basically.
*As man are, God once was. As God is, man may become. So yes basically belief in a never ending lineage of Gods family.
*Yes special/secret handshakes and names but not to know each other persay. More like so God knows them and can judge worthiness, etc.
*Yes they wear special undies after going through the temple. Its a protector but if you find a mormon who actually thinks bullets wont get through....invite them to the nearest asylum. Its more like a spiritual attack type of protection.
*The Bible is not used as much as the Book of Mormon but it is used and followed and believed. Definately not fourth in line.
*Never heard tell of Jesus being married let alone having multiple wives. Although I do fully believe he was married just not to multiple wives. You silly people believing that crapola, Joseph Smith had multiple wives, somewhere in the 30 range. Some reports say 33 and others 36.

You do not sound like you want the truth, but, I'll try to answer them simple as I can.

1. We pray only to one God, God the Father.
We do believe God the Father, and Jesus Christ are beings of God.

2. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
(Pearl of Great Price | Articles of Faith 1:3).

3. We believe God is a exalted Man, perfect man, and reside on his celestial kingdom.

4. We do not need special handshakes to tell who is our friends or enemy.

5. We wear sacred garments to reminds us of the covenant we made with God. No such promise as "bullet proof"

6. We have Bible , Book of Mormon, D&C, and Pearl of Great price as our standard scriptures. Four books testify the same Jesus Christ. Ever heard of the term, when you draw a striaght line, 2 points is better than 1.

7. Whether Christ was married or not, there are no scriptural references, so we do not speculate or make any multiple wives assumptions.

Wow- there's some pretty wacked up stuff out there!

You say that these are facts and can be researched in the three books we have.... Uh, could you specify what those titles are and explain how you came to these conclusions?

I'm going to go with Odd Duck on this one- She's nicely rebutted your claims.

BTW- The comment you make about our feelings about the Bible- What?-- you mean to tell me that Mormons make choices about how to interpret and understand the bible??? *roll eyes* What church doesn't do that?

The problem I have with that statement you make is that the Bible is full of statements that appear contradictory-- in fact, I offer a challenge- pick any topic discussed in the Bible and choose a side- whichever side you want, and I'll play the other side... You find a passage to support "your" side of the issue, and I'm willing to bet that I'll be able to find a passage to support "my" side.

Edit--
I notice that at the beginning, you ask, "Is it true about Mormons?"... but then you say, "All of the following and more are facts...."

Are you really asking a question or are you just looking for a soap box?

"They believe in Gods (yes, plural)"

We worship one God, our Heavenly Father, but we also believe in Jesus Christ, His Son, our Saviour, who is also a God, and in the Holy Spirit. So in that sense yes, perhaps we do believe in more than one God.

"They believe if you are a good mormon when you die you become a god and get your own planet."

I've been a Mormon 14 years and I've never been taught that so sorry, it's false.

"They believe the God of earth was a regular man on another planet and he resides near a star called KOLOB"

A. As above.

"They have special handshakes and secret names so they can find each other after they die."

Find each other after we die, huh? So looking at the person's face wouldn't do it - I'd need to shake my husband's hand to know it was him? And how is a secret name supposed to help if it's secret? Nope, false.

"They wear special secret underwear with secret religious symbols sewn into them that protect them from bullets and other bad things."

We do wear garments, but they are not supposed to protect us from bullets or anything. What they protect us from is immodesty and unchastity.

"All of the following and more are FACTS and can be researched in the 3 books they have".

No they are not facts. And I challenge you to find ANY of these doctrines in the "3 books". (I assume you mean the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price.)

"The Bible is the forth book they use and when Mormon beliefs don't agree with the Bible they say that passage was interpreted wrong."

No, if the books come in any order, the Bible is first. It is first in my quad, and is listed first in the article of faith relating to scriptures. And although we accept that the Bible has gone through many years of translation, we generally accept it at face value.

"P.S. They say that Jesus had multiple wives when he was on earth"

No, never heard that one either, except from ignorant anti-Mormons such as yourself. I suggest you do some research before you try slandering good faithful Christian people again. As a Mormon, I think I am in a better position to know what we actually believe that you are.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are the real Mormons. The FLDS church's heritage started out whilst a polygamist community in Utah trouble-free as short Creek replace into excommunicated from the church for refusing to denounce polygamy. Wilford Woodruff, who replace into the prophet of the LDS church won a revelation that plural marriage could be discontinued. Joseph Smith and Brigham youthful the two consistently taught approximately persevering with revelation.

Yes please do research the scriptures. Please see how the complement the Bible.

23 And God saw these souls that they were good, and he stood in the midst of them, and he said: These I will make my rulers; for he stood among those that were spirits, and he saw that they were good; and he said unto me: Abraham, thou art one of them; thou wast chosen before thou wast born.
24 And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell;
1 And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, and they, that is the Gods, organized and formed the heavens and the earth.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

D&C 130:8 The place where God resides is a great Urim and Thummim.
9 This earth, in its sanctified and immortal state, will be made like unto crystal and will be a Urim and Thummim to the inhabitants who dwell thereon, whereby all things pertaining to an inferior kingdom, or all kingdoms of a lower order, will be manifest to those who dwell on it; and this earth will be Christ’s.
10 Then the white stone mentioned in Revelation 2:17, will become a Urim and Thummim to each individual who receives one, whereby things pertaining to a higher order of kingdoms will be made known;
11 And a white stone is given to each of those who come into the celestial kingdom, whereon is a new name written, which no man knoweth save he that receiveth it. The new name is the key word.

Revelation 3:4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their GARMENTS; and they shall walk with me in WHITE: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in WHITE RAINMENT; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Isaiah 13:2 Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, SHAKE THE HAND, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

PS. None of the 3 books you 'researched' say anything about Jesus having one or more wives. The FOURTH book, the Bible doesn't say one way or the other.

Ready... here goes!!!!!!

No. One God, our Heavenly Father, but we believe that Christ and the Holy Ghost make up what we call the Godhead. It's complicated to someone who doesn't really want to know.

Nope. We believe we will inherit all the Father has, but what that really means is anyones guess.

Partly. We believe that where God is is close to a planet called Kolob, but we don't know where that is, and it isn't really considered doctrine, just speculation.

The next is part of the temple ceremony, and I won't comment on it as it is very sacred to me.

My underwear is of no concern to anyone but me. It isn't magical though, but a symbol of the commitments I made to God. It's kinda like a habit a nun wears, or a collar that a priest wears. It's also sacred to us.

WE HAVE NEVER SAID THAT CHRIST HAS MULTIPLE WIVES!!!!! THAT IS A TOTAL LIE!!!

It's great to see someone who really knows what I believe better then I do. Please, show some respect and I will show you the same.
