It seems to me if even one argument proved true there would be not need for others. Please don't play dumb either--I am talking about the intelligent design argument, the prime mover argument, Pascal's wager and so on

I have no idea.

It is utterly amazing to me that there are fellow Christians who believe that you can prove God's existence by some means that will convince a skeptic. My guess is that they have never been an unbeliever, so they think they just have to tell the unbeliever to "wise up" and show some things that the believer sees as clear evidence. But, of course, God purposely cloaks himself in ways that hide his presence from the unbeliever, because he wants people to come to him by faith, not by sight.

why do atheists care? I'm serious. You know what you believe.

if a little 4 yr old girl says she believes in santa claus and cant wait to leave him cookies and milk on xmas eve, are you going to kill her happiness and innocence this season by sitting her down and explaining "see honey, holidays are really all about money and commercializing what were once pagan celebrations years ago". I dont think so....

So if believing in God gives someone a feeling of peace...whether it comes from meditation or really from a "holy spirit moving in them"..what the heck do you care?? Most people aren't going to sit down on Sunday morning and read about the prime mover arguement and why its true or not. But they will go to church and listen to an hour long mass and probably feel better for it and at least go out that day and maybe not curse at the driver who cuts them off.

What on earth do you care for?

Why does it matter? People have their reasons for believing God exists, or not believing God exists, or believing that both God and Goddess exist, etc. In the end, spirituality is a personal thing and we all have a right to our personal beliefs. I may not agree with another's beliefs, but I won't argue that they are wrong. Nothing anyone says here (nor having read the Bible) has provided me with unquestionable proof that any of us are "right" or "wrong" - so why not just not argue about it and all learn to get along despite spiritual differences?

So coming up with multiple arguments is a sure sign someone is wrong? I've never heard that before. Seems like it would be more like, if multiple arguments can be made the underlying claim is more likely to be true. I would say the same of atheism, this is a general epistemological principle I'm suggesting here.

There will never be proof of God's existence and trying to do so is a waste of time. Religion is a matter of faith you believe or you don't bottom line. As a Christian I choose to believe, I do not defend my faith because I do not feel I need to just like I do not expect anyone else to defend their beliefs. If you must keep coming up with ways to defend what you believe then maybe you do not believe strongly enough for your self, who are your trying to sway?

And what arguments do you have that He doesn't? Like you don't see atheists trying to disprove His existence. It is not so much an argument than our beliefs, and of course you have your beliefs. We can all learn and understand others religious beliefs rather than trying to prove or disprove anything because there is no evidence either way.

Because there are thousands of reasons to believe. God touches everyone's lives differently and it feels great to share our stories. Nothing new and no arguing here, just simply sharing the beauty of our God and all He does.

I've never seen a Christian try to prove anything when it comes to God because they operate on faith which does not require proof.

My question is: Why do all the Atheists constantly try to disprove the existence of God? Seems to me if you say you don't care, why not act like it?
