It's really very simple, actually. Genesis comes BEFORE Leviticus. There is no obligation to follow a law that God hasn't yet given.
Romans 4:15 "the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression."

To reproduce in the beginning incest had to happen ( think about it) AT SOME POINT God puts an end to it- obviously, think of all the diseases and things that come from this....yes it is a sin- Genesis comes BEFORE Leviticus. The laws were made after this. But to begin population in the world, there would obviously be incest- because the world started with Adam and Eve. They had children, their children had children, their children had children...etc....How else would the earth be populated, this was God's design.
But you must research your question, look to the ORDER of things- and when the laws were given.

well, first of it's either Abram and Sarai or Abraham and Sarah.
Now to your point: Sarah was Abraham's neice not sister. Isaac maried Sarah's niece (his cousin) and Jacob married two of his cousins as well. Apparently this was a popular thing to do.
Neither of those is insest, since insest is defined as sister/half-sister, mother, daughter, step-mother.
Also, you should not marry two sisters (like Jacob did) or a mother and a daughter. Although that is not insest.

There are no contradictions in the Bible. You, like most of the world are spiritually blind and don't understand. You have not been called by God to serve Him......yet. With the influence that Satan has on most of Humanity, comes a natural bias against any Biblical truths that teach the Ways of God, which would condemn ones self centered attitudes and condemn their immoral lifestyle. Therefore, it is impossible for you accept His Truth unless God has drawn you to Him to understand in this age.

the Israealites were to marry those within their extended families to keep the bloodline pure. that is why Yah did not want them marrying the people of the land because Israel was to be a Holy nation - a nation of Priests

thats not really a contradiction. thats just showing that abraham committed incest and that the bible says incest is wrong.
edit: since someone doesnt agree with me...
con·tra·dic·tion /ˌkɒntrəˈdɪkʃən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[kon-truh-dik-shuhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun
1.the act of contradicting; gainsaying or opposition.
2.assertion of the contrary or opposite; denial.
3.a statement or proposition that contradicts or denies another or itself and is logically incongruous.
4.direct opposition between things compared; inconsistency.
5.a contradictory act, fact, etc.
each of those events have no influence on the other.
edit: a contradiction would have been "abraham was not a sinner" and "abraham married his sister" (that is since event A could not exist if event B was true, and visa versa)
but the bible doesnt say anything about abraham being without sin, or moses, or noah, or any of god's chosen...

I see were you are coming from, but did you also realize that of all the relationships that God said was wrong in leviticus God did not say that it was wrong for a father to have sex with his daughter, that one relationship was left out. I was molested and my father later justified what he did by saying that God never said that was wrong because God knew that one woman was not enough to satisfy a mans appetite, and that he was justified in seeking relations with his daughter to sexually satisfy himself.

Why can't you wear a Tam'o'shanter or a beret or something? You'd look so much cuter and wouldn't be so off balance.
