no wonder we don't all get along.

Mohammed did indeed marry Aisha when she was nine, That is why until today the legal age for a girl to *marry* is nine in a lot of Moslem coutries. However, you must remember one thing, according to Hijra calendar it is 15th century in a lot of Moslem countries. I would hate to compare christians or jews from 15th century to those of the 21st. I am NOT making excuses for Moslems, just pointing out some interesting facts people often overlook... Inquisition in Europe was raging, people were burned at the stake, tortured to death, drowned, and Tomas de Torquemada (Grand Inquisitor) had the ultimate word over life and death in the name of god... how are Moslems different... ?
EDIT: Geisha, yes I know about Sudan, and Iran relented 2 years ago and made the legal age 11... still, Iran announced resumption of public stonings recently, the *waiting* list stands at 18 people now...
