If you mean "Incandescent" it is Tungsten, chemical symbol is "W" because it used to be called "Wolfram".

non-candescent bulbs are generally fluorescent or halogen lights, in which case, no filament, they are filled with non-reactive gases and have electrical energy added to the gas at one end of the tube. this, makes the gas 'glow' and gives off an efficient form of light.
