I love Dr. Who's response. In addition to that, if you want to be more spiritual, I say pray more. I know it sounds cliche but they say more prayer, more power. Less prayer, less power. And praying more will definitely get you closer to God. Ask and ye shall receive. Those who seek righteousness shall be filled. God knows the desires of your heart, He'll give it to you since it is also his will for you to be in touch with the holy spirit.

Count your Blessings, as well as trials , try to look back in your life from as far as you can remember up to the present and see how He works everything for your own good.

Share your faith/spirituality with others who are like-minded.
Go for nature walks and enjoy the beauty God created.
Volunteer for the less fortunate: soup kitchen, sexual assault center, homeless shelter, etc.
