A measureable goal is something that can be measured.
For example "Increase sales by 10%". That can easily be measured based on previous sales.
A goal of "Increase sales" isn't very measureable because if sales is $1 more than last period, did you really attain your goal?

Define the quantifiable basis then define
the quantifiable goal within a time frame.
Example : Increase sales from 1000 units
to 1250 units by the end of the
current quarter ( December 31,
2007 )

here is an example of a measurable goal. If you are an addict, and you want to stop using, there are several steps involved. 1. pre conemplation. 2.comtemplation 3. action 4. maintinance. So in my case, in reaching my goal of being clean, I am at level 4 because I am clean and maintaining sobriety. Otherwise maybe finacial goals are easier to measure because there's actually a physical measurable substance (cash).

One has a sales territory which last year produced $ 2mm in sales. Demographically, the census said the area had a population increase of 5%. One would set a quota of a minimum of 5% increase. The logical approach is to analyze the growth and the demand for the product you are selling, whether it is specialized in nature or marketable to the vast majority . Chia-Chia, the Clap on Clapper and Cat Grass are Christmas impulse specialties.
