I was looking at a website today; www.carm.org. Tricky question it is, the answer was yes. I know all sins are forgivable. What if you don't have time to repent before you actually die? Are you still forgiven.

I'm sure people have justifiable reasons to do it. Example; my dad lost his family(mother, father and siblings) in a train wreck. He was 7 years old. If he had killed himself because of that I wouldn't be here; or my child.

This might seem like a perplexing question, but it does have an answer. Though the Christian who has committed suicide has committed a grave sin, he is still forgiven. But, in order to understand why a Christian who commits suicide is forgiven, we first need to understand what salvation is and what it is based upon.
Salvation is the state of being saved from God's judgment upon the sinner. The only way to be saved is to trust Jesus for the forgiveness of one's sins (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). All who do not trust Jesus alone, by faith (Rom. 5:1; Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9) are not forgiven and go to hell when they die (Matt. 25:46; John 3:18). When Jesus forgives someone, He forgives all their sins and gives them eternal life and they shall never perish (John 10:28). He does not give them temporary eternal life -- otherwise, it would not be eternal.
Salvation is not based upon what you do. In other words, you don't have to obey any Law of God in order to become saved. This is because no one is saved by keeping the Law of God (Gal. 2:21; Rom. 3:24-28). But that does not mean that you can go and sin all you want. Rom. 6:1-3 expressly condemns such action. Instead, we are saved for the purpose of purity (1 Thess. 4:7). Our salvation is strictly by God's: "By grace through faith you have been saved…" (Eph. 2:8). Other than acting by faith in trusting and accepting what Jesus did on the cross, you don't do a thing (John 1:12-3) in order to become saved. Since you did not get your salvation by what you did, you can not lose it by what you do.
What about the unforgivable sin? Is that suicide? No. Suicide is not the unforgivable sin. Jesus spoke of the unforgivable sin in Matt. 12:22-32. The context is when the Pharisees accused Jesus of casting out demons by the power of the devil. Therefore, suicide is not the unforgivable sin.

Yes suicide can be and should be forgiven. I remember a long time ago a friend killed himself by jumping out a window. It was tragic, but what made it even worse was that his family believed his suicide was an unforgivable sin. I don't think the family's opinion has any influence over the relationship between God and the suicide victim, but it makes their lives that much more unhappy.
Forgiveness is hard though. You can't just say it or do it with will power, it has to be an actual change of heart. God is love and has no problem forgiving, but it's hard for us humans. Sadly, not forgiving is probably the real sin, in the scenario where the family and friends of the person who committed suicide condemns them.

the quick easy answer is: "judgment is case by case."
As for shedding of Innocent blood, a requirement for forgiveness is the shedder's blood be shed. Suicide would satisfy that. And there is the spirit prison, where missionaries are working hard to reclaim lost souls. I can tell you very defiantly, with a tear....GOD is merciful beyond human comprehension. Jesus felt your remorse in His groanings at the garden. He will recognize that feeling in you if you are broken hearted over your sin, even after suicide, if in the next life, He will feel your regret if you have any. Asking for forgiveness always helps & that may be possible after a successfull suicide, or after this mortal life ends. It will be most difficult, but not impossible.

If you are to be forgiven, you need to ASK for forgiveness, right?
I someone commits suicide, when does the individual ask for forgiveness? Before or after suicide?
If before, it does not make sense. Taking to the extreme, can a murderer pray for forgiveness before killing somebody? No way!
God does forgive repentant sinners. It is not for us to judge if a person can be forgiven for committing suicide or not. It is usually mental anguish that drives them to that ultimate solution. It is important to 'be a friend' to the person going through such suffering so that it can be averted. Get professional help.
If the family members are going through suffering as a result of a loved one committing suicide, BE A SHOULDER TO CRY ON. Be loving and caring. DON'T PREACH.

All sin is already forgiven if you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He has forgiven everyone of their sins past, present, and future. He wants to give life and give it abundantly. If a person kills his or herself and they are a true Christian, they will be forgiven - but it is a sin and it's worse than murder because you're throwing your life back in the face of God. It's the sin you can't take back. Christians still do it, but it's not right. Those that are not saved by Jesus will be sent to hell. Their suicide just adds to the list of which they have never accepted His forgiveness for. Those in Christ have no condemnation.

suidice is a very bad sin, since looked at it from this point of view. look god gave us the gift of living and life so he only have the right to take it away from us,we aren't free to take off our souls whenever we are miserable and down, this isn't the answer, moreover there are some cases that sins are forgivable if one didn't have time to repent ,if the person was true hearted ,you know some people commit sins but they do it without being convinced the key is what you believe in,in the end all people commit sins but sins differ as well as people aand god forgives if he find your soul pure, and that you believe in good things in life.

It does not matter what I consider suicide to be it exists with or without my lables and it is a product of the universe which god has created, any asignment of value to the event is perception only and god trandscends all of our perceptions.
So to say something is a sin is only a statment of opinion.
what you are really asking is do I think suicide is good or bad? I would say that it depends on your perspective and the circumstances so that each case would be judged on a case by case basis and in some cases it might be good while in others it might bad.

God knows what is truly in your heart. I believe that if a person is truly bent on suicide that person must be at his/her lowest ebb and will only get worse; God knows this and allows that person to take the pain away. God calls that person Home so the healing can begin with those left behind. Also, the Bible states; "Any two or more people come in My name, it will be given". So if other's ask in their heart for forgiveness of another, it will be done.

Unless someone has been in the situation of actually seriously considering suicide, how could they possibly judge another person for doing so? It's simply ignorant to condemn someone over something you have no knowledge of.
Leeann T who posted above is a prime example of ignorance.

I think God will look at it as though you are stepping up to receive your diploma without finishing the lesson. You'll return to another life to finish the lesson that needed to be learned. You can't skip lessons and move on, you have to finish to move to the next lesson and level. Suicide to me, is holding yourself back and flunking the lesson. Some people stay in one place for a long time because they fight the truth. Eventually we all wake up and see it.
