Does anyone know what the chart is called that I am looking for or a link directly to it? It shows how much an individual makes and the tax bracket that they would be placed in, the tax they pay and the percentage of what the return might be. I dont know if I have all the info correct but it would be similiar to what I explained. thanks for any help!

ok maybe its not in a chart form...but I have seen it on the IRS website so what I am looking for does exist. I know that it will not tell me exactly how much i paid in taxes and how much my return will be. It shows something like if you make X amound of dollars your taxes in 12.5%. It is something similiar to that.

Go to irs.gov and download the instructions for form 1040 and look for "tax tables". It's also in Publication 17, toward the back - you can download that at irs.gov also

Note that the charts use taxable income, not gross, so you'll have to subtract your deductions, allowances and exemptions before using the table.

No such chart exists.

Refunds are not based on a percentage.

HRBlock.com has a Tax/Refund Estimator at:

Here's the table Judy is referring to:

http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=164272,00.html

Remember, this is TAXABLE income, NOT gross income! You must subtract your adjustments, exemptions and deductions first before using this table.
