But the used Sony, an old Sony is better than a new Samsung. I bought a new Samsung 2 years ago and gave my 10 year old Sony to my son. He has my old TV that works fine. I have my new TV that likes the repair shop.

you should do what i do. go to best buy and buy the display. i got a 30" widescreen hd tv, $300 off just because it was the display.

we got our $600 sony surround system for $200 because it was the display and one the the speakers had a small crack in the base. other than that there were no problems, physical or mechanical. just cheaper :) (and no box to throw away- lol)
