Funny story, but true...
I was once a Mormon missionary, and my companion and I were eating lunch in our apartment. Our apartment was basically the attic portion of a house, and our front door opened to a stairway which lead up to our "kitchen/living room". It was a hot summer day, and we had left our door open to allow the air to circulate. As we were just sitting there at our kitchen table, two Jehovah's Witnesses came walking up our stairs. I think all of us were rather surprised; they thought they were walking up a stairway which lead to a group of apartment doors, and we certainly did not expect anyone to just walk right into our home. I'm sure they recognized who we were (two young men wearing white shirts and ties with black name tags living in a crappy apartment), but they went ahead and proceeded to share with us their message. They wanted to give us one of their tracts, and we suggested a "trade" by offering them a Book of Mormon in exchange for their tract. They declined and walked away.

I've never been able to be an instrument in the conversion of either. A conversion for either truly takes a miracle of God. We need to pray for them, show them love and show them the truth - it's really a spiritual battle.
The Jehovah's Witnesses I've talked with will say the Bible is true, but they pick and choose which parts they focus on. I can point out where Jesus is God in the Bible, and they just keep pointing out that Jesus was a man. Hello - both are in there. They have amazing trust in the Bible - but only parts of it.
The LDS members I've talked with will claim that truth comes from the Holy Spirit and the Bible is corrupt. I can show that their beliefs contradict the Bible and even that their own beliefs contradict each other. It doesn't matter. They have this "Testimony of the Holy Spirit" that caused a burning in the bosom that they won't ignore. I can't convince them that the Devil can cause heartburn and loves to play God. Amazing faith - too bad it's misplaced.
I predict it would be the same with both of them together most of the time assuming both are strong in their faith and know their doctrines well.

too generalized to answer correctly. some may magnify there religions, we are still very individual. a jahovah witness bragged to me that he converted some LDS missionaries.
I attended a jehovah witness service, and was bullied, not allowed to ask questions and did not get my point across, nor did anyone convert to LDS.
I'd like to get some of 'em on my 'turf'...so I won't be verbally bullied so, when whe discuss the vast differences. How do I get some to knock on my door??

Been there, done that more than once.
Both of us are firm in our beliefs.
Each time I come away learning a little more about the Mormon Faith, and realizing how wonderful the bible really is.
I loved the film strip that said the book of Mormon was prophesied in Isa 30:8 & 10
“Now come, write it upon a tablet with them, and inscribe it even in a book, that it may serve for a future day, for a witness to time indefinite. .10 who have said to the ones seeing, ‘YOU must not see,’ and to the ones having visions,
I told them that may or may not be true but why would you want to listen and read about people described in vs 9?
9 For it is a rebellious people, untruthful sons, sons who have been unwilling to hear the law of Jehovah
and the continuation of vs 10 ‘YOU must not envision for us any straightforward things. Speak to us smooth things; envision deceptive things. 11 Turn aside from the way; deviate from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on account of us.’”
So if what they said was true, why would want to listen to people who envision deceptive things?
Why would we want to listen to those who cause the Holy One of Israel to cease?
They said they would have to get back to me on that one.

Neither, most Mormons walk away from the truth.
And most Witnesses seek a listening ear. We don't have a violent nature, and would politely end the discussion as we do at a Mormon's door.

What makes you think that either one would want to be?
If they both have strong testimonies, chances are, they would agree to disagree.
If a gay man and a straight man went into a room together, who would be "Changed"?

An evangelical or baptist would find out and bust the party by thumping bibles so they could not here each other.
