Preparation for the 'end of you' should be fervently and actively sought by living a passionate and good life.it won't be a journey you're preparing for though - for a journey you need a point A a point B, a subject, some space and some time, none of these are available after death.

Don't worry about something that isn't going to happen. Your current mortal life is in itself its own journey. There is not now nor has there ever been a shred of evidence that you have an eternal soul and that your dead body goes anywhere except under the ground or burned to ashes. Just live your life. It's the only one you know and will ever know. Make the best of it.

Let your deeds prepare your itinerary after you leave your present body. Your karmas will act as Passport, Visa and ticket for your next birth and shall place you there after your death. Make your deeds so meritorious that they shall lead you to unite with GOD and never bring you back on another halt on earth.

its very simple,
Do you have any preparation for u r birth simply u are born
similarly u will die when the destiny end to take a new form.
only a suicider should prepare for his death.
so no preparation needed for death, its the duty of the time to prepare itself to take u to the place of the death

Best question. Yes. If we don't we have no clue what we will be or where we will go after this life. Our actions now are creating our next lifs situation. SO we have to understand the laws of Karma and the process of self realization to get the best result from our activities in this life. The best process for self realization and to purify ones existence is to practice Bhakti Yoga (offering all of ones activities, talents, words and thoughts in the service of God also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, Hari, etc.) And chant His holy names. for info read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupad and go to harekrishnatemple.com See in the spiritual kingdom Anil ji.
