Ummm... I'm 14 yrs old at the time (girl), and I have this really really small mustache and i'm really embarrassed about it.
My mom has even a smaller one, but she goes to this special clinic where they take it out, but she said it really hurts.

What should I do about mine? I'm really scared of being in a close -up picture and talk to someone close.
My mom also said that if I pluck the hairs out, it will grow back even more.

What should I do?

Thanks so much

It's probably only noticeable to you, and don't feel bad... there's not a girl I know who doesn't have something they don't want... I personally get these stray hairs on my chin that make my chin resemble the hairy wart on a witch, so I always keep tweezers handy!!

You can get a personal trimmer as mentioned above, or wax. There are a ton of different wax products out there.

I get these "instant change" wax strips for my eyebrows from Walgreen's for less than $10 (I bet they make some for other facial parts) that are super easy to use (right out of the box, apply strip and pull off) and the sting only lasts a second. They're in the makeup isle near the fake eyelashes.

Personally, I prefer to wax or pluck just because I've always been afraid that if I shaved anything on my face that I don't want there, that when it grew back it would be stubble like on legs and armpits... not saying it would happen - that's just always been my concern so I've never tried it.

Most women have the little mustache. some months it seems worse than others. Don't know if it's really hormone related or if I just happen to notice it more when I'm in a really bad PMS bout.

you can wax or shave--it is a myth that the hair on a woman's face will grow back coarser and darker if she shaves it. Women don't have enough testosterone in their bodies for that to happen (it's the same reason a woman can't bulk up from weight lifting). Shaving will leave stubble.
you could also use a cream remover, but beware--if your hair is dark, you may only burn your skin and still not remove the hair.
Tweezing works too, it just hurts and takes a long time if you have a lot of hairs to remove.
Which ever method you do use, I recommend picking up a lotion or cream that slows hair growth and using it daily after you've removed the hair.

you could try bleaching the hairs so they would show less

I wish I could be more positive but the fact is that in most cultures, men / boys don't like a moustache on a woman that much at all, sorry ;-) Exceptions would be in countries where a small moustache is not uncommon for women, such as Portugal (apologies to Portuguese users - but it's true! ;-)

Maybe at 14 it's not that key yet I mean you're probably not yet in the serious courtship game (?) - on the other hand that's also an age where you attempt to develop self-confidence as an adult, so it would be too bad if you ended up feeling all shy because of a bit of hair.

Yes of course you can get the hair electro removed. But it hurts a lot (I'm told - I'm a guy). And the places where they do it well (which are the only places you can go to, or else they might leave you w micro scars!), tend to be expensive.

Hope this helps a bit?

Take care

Shaving will leave you with stubble that will grow back prickly. Waxing may hurt, but it's more effective. Sally Hansen makes many wax products. I suggest either the blue Brazilian line- this dries completely and pulls off easily without tugging at your skin like sugar wax, or try the pre-waxed strips. These are fairly gentle and work well for the upper lip.
Good luck!

If it's really small use bleach it to make it less noticeable. Do not shave it if you don't have to. It will grow back more course and thicker. When it gets to the point that it's really noticeable...use a hair remover cream for the face.

At 14 your hormones are changing....they may change to where you don't even notice the little hairs. Wait and see what happens...Try the bleach first.

My big sister uses some special cream to take her's off. Though you have to keep putting it on once a month. If you think this cream may help you, I will surely find the name of it and give you the name of the product.

Good luck

DO NOT SHAVE IT. IT WILL BEGIN TO LOOK LIKE A MAN'S MUSTACHE, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SHAVE IT. YOU WILL END UP HAVING TO SHAVE IT EVERY DAY!

It is part of your heritage, I would not worry about it. You probably notice it more than anyone else does because you know it's there, and you get probably 5 inches from the mirror to look at it. So it probably looks horrendous to you, but hon, no one else is going to care. I would talk to your mom about this and let her know it is beginning to bother you. But what ever you do SERIOUSLY DO NOT SHAVE IT. That girl Angela is apparently too young to realize this, or is clueless. (your first answerer).

Whatever you do dont shave it. If its small, bleach it, if not wax is the way to go.
