Yes. Yeast creates co2. Environmentalist are working to ban beer and leavened bread in order to conserve co2.

On the contrary, Canadian beer drinkers should be able to sell carbon offsets based on the carbon sequestration provided by their beer fridges. Inside every bottle, can, and keg of beer is carbon dioxide from the fermentation of the beer. The beer fridge serves as a protector of the environment by holding all of that carbon dioxide captive (at least until the owner reaches for a bottle opener). Even after the beer has been consumed, the beer fridge continues to work faithfully toward saving the planet by containing CFC refrigerants that typically have much higher global warming potential (GWP) than carbon dioxide, as well as the added hazard posed by their ozone depleting potential (ODP). Therefore, owners of beer fridges should be willing to share some of their negative carbon footprint with those less fortunate by selling carbon offset certificates to help environmentalists be able to claim they are reducing their carbon footprints.

BLAME CANADA! BLAME CANADA! And I do not know of any better source for news than Fox <_<.
LOOK ELSWHERE! Taking Fox for fact without further research is just as bad as taking UN or Al Gore data without reasearch. And I thought that a lot of Canada's electricity was made by hydroelectric dams? Anybody from Canada gonna back me up on this?

This is just typical BS reporting on Fox news. The only reason that Canadians is pointed out is because they did not include all of the info. A study was done in Canada where it was reported that 1 in 3 have a second fridge. I know that I am one of those families but both af my fridges are new. It is only on the houses that have the older model fridges. If you follow the info at the bottom of that report it links you to new scientist where there is a little more info. On there it says that North America and the UK are all cause of this not just Canada. It was because there was a study done in Canada that Fox news puts the blame on Canada.

No, it's not "Canadian beer drinkers". That's just some Fox reporter's idea of being clever.
For those who don't click links, here's the real story.
Some people who keep very inefficient old refrigerators as extra ones. They use an excessive amount of energy.
Nothing wrong with beer drinkers or even having two refrigerators. But old ones waste energy.

As was already mentioned, through the spin ("we report, you decide"? Sure...) the issue is old inefficient refrigerators. Not beer.
