A Chieften Tank weighs approx 55 tons. A Chinook Helicopter, even the latest variants, like the CH47 D or F, can only lift about 1/4 that.

Absolutely not... the max cargo load for a CH-47D Chinook is
28,000 pounds (14 tons)... a Chieftan tank is 55 tons (combat load).

SO, the Chieftan tank is 4 times the lift weight a CH-47 can lift.

No, but they did have an aluminum tank back in vietnam which was built to be airlifted, it was called the sheridan.
