invasion resulted in it now being the top law of Iraq?

One answerer was very very wrong about Sharia law in Iraq pre-invasion. It was secular until our invasion but we "approved" of it in the new constitution to meet this administration's timeline. It is now the top law of the land there.

Our invasion had nothing to do with Sharia law being instituted. Sharia law is bound to instituted in every Muslim country eventually.

We "degrade" it because it is violent, irrational, and some Muslims carry it to what we consider an insane degree (just par for the course for many of its adherents, though).

And SOME Americans "degrade" it because:

It is worthy of degradation.

We want people to be aware of it.

We NEVER want it to be instituted here and will do WHATEVER is necessary to keep that from happening.

Because it's anethema to personal liberty, which is the foundation of the US.
