They live in mud huts because they are impoverished and in a constant state of conflict, the roots of which have many origins in the western world, including US foreign policy, the greatest supplier of weapons globally and particularly in Africa.
And of course I oppose the reaction to the sentencing etc. but it is your mud huts comment that I entirely disagree with.

"Thousands of Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, rallied Friday in a central square and demanded the execution of a British teacher convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad."
The protesters streamed out of mosques after Friday sermons,"
So we know the source of the problem is the Mosques. To win the war on terror, that's what needs to be targetted.

As I said earlier as a response to one question - if I ever live to witness Sharia Law become official in my country, I'll gladly commit suicide.
That is sick, horrible and demented. They probably won't be able to kill her, but the mere notion of a blood thirsty crowd gathering makes me shiver.

I don't see what they could possibly have against naming a cuddly, fun toy that brings children happiness and joy one of their sacred names.
I named my teddy Jesus....should I be killed? I mean, a name's a name.

The problem was previously noted:
"I don't see what they could possibly have against naming a cuddly, fun toy that brings children happiness and joy one of their sacred names."
They bestowed the name Muhammad on something that is PEACEFUL!!!!!!!!

Do you see the audacity, there are people defending the Sudanese behavior. Oh please don't go blaming everything else than these illiterate morons for their plight. The poor teacher was trying to educate these barbarians.
Pull all international aids and troops, let them batter each other to pulp, there is no hope for them.

Not much different from "let the 14 year old refuse medical treatment and die because he's a Jehovah's Witness" or "let the teenage girl get HPV because the vaccination was refused on religious grounds."
It's all insanity.

The same problem as the Southern Baptists Convention that condemns Disney for its granting employment equality rights to homosexuals.
