Isn't the difference between these nothing more than a matter of degree? It's obvious that if Christians were actually in charge of the US, it would be just as bad as the Sudan. Do you agree?

Absolutely. Both responses are motivated by the same thing, mindless devotion to a delusion.

A matter of degree? What? Killing or lashing someone over giving a name to something and boycotting a movie that is the beginning of a trilogy which has kids having sex and the end result is the idea of killing God is hardly a matter of degree to me. I don't see how naming a Teddy bear compares to letting 6 to 12 year old kids read about atheism in a disguised form.

no I dont, and I think your an idiot for subscribing to that notion, this freeedom of speech argument is old and tiresome.

A. our founding fathers supported boycotts
B. Atheists and jews alike boycotted the passion of the christ
C. Atheists have boycotted the bible

so hmm boycott vs call the death of someone over something. yeah interstesting world you live in.

Absolutely NOT.

A "boycott" is a far, far, far cry from a blood-thirsty lynch mob out to murder an elementary school teacher for the heinous crime of letting some children name a teddy bear "muhammed".

Hmm. Just where would YOU prefer living?

erk, we've had Christians in charge of this country dozens of times.

Last election cycle we had a Christian president and Christian majority leaders in the house and senate.

If you can't see the difference between boycotting a movie and whipping or killing someone, you are silly.

PS: Common sense doesn't think 1/3 = .333...
Ask him and he'll tell you so :)

I understand what you are trying to say, but doesn't free speech also give us the right to boycott things that we don't like, or make public, things that we disagree with?

(Not one of those boycotting the movie, actually looking forward to seeing it for its entertainment purposes only)

There was a difference?

Oh, yeah, because the US is supposed to have free speech.
