Yes. It's in our water supply and no way to avoid it. There should be no adverse effects.

YES!! it is actually recommended for chemo or radiation patients to have custom fluoride trays made by their dentist because they are at risk for increased cavities.

xerostomia = dry mouth

Measures for the prevention of tooth demineralization are required only when xerostomia persists for longer than six weeks. It is recommended that a 1.1% neutral pH sodium fluoride or 0.4% unflavored stannous fluoride be brushed on the teeth or applied in custom-made gel applicator trays. A neutral pH fluoride gel should be used by patients with porcelain crowns. Acidulated fluoride should not be used (refer to page 9 for gel application directions).

If your talking about extra fluoride you better ask your Dr. Any thing dental needs to be talked about.

My husband is in Chemo right now and he wants to know and approve or dissaprove of everything.
