I just bought a solid wood potty, how can I keep it clean if the wood gets dirty?

This potty is for my toddler. As soon as I got it, I realized he can move forward fairly easy...so if he poops, poop will be all around the area. How can you keep the wood sanitized in this situation??? The potty is expensive and non-refundable :-(

I would use a mild bleach and water solution, or buy one of those bathroom sprays like Tilex that are premixed. I assumed whatever they sealed the wood with (polyurethane) will not be eaten off by the mild bleach solution.

Wash it, use a little bleach and then wipe it dry. Let it air dry.
