Your point illustrates why Islam will never be the world religion that Muslims believe it will be!
People in the West are not likely to give up their personal rights and freedoms to embrace a religion that oppresses us.

I do not think that this has caused the world to respect Islam.
Just the oposite, it has shown that nothing is going to make that place quit committing crimes against humanity.
There is no democracy that will work in those countries.
That is a sad fact, yet it is not the people. They come to America and have not problems obeying our laws.
They do not riot or do the things they do in other countries.
Only I really do believe if they did a riot in Texas over some small ill conceived naming of a teddy bear or other ridiculous incident they would probably be shot. That simply would not be tolerated and I think they know it and so they don't do it.
What happens in France and the UK would not be accepted here.

I have never been under the false belief that islam allows for freedom. It dictates every aspect of life, including what hand to use to eat or wipe yourself with. I just hope more people are finally waking up to this fact. Shariah Law does not belong in any civilized nation.
God Bless.

Sharia law unfortunately is a manifestation of a religion that has simply refused to enter the 21st century, or should I say leave the 7th century. After what we've seen over the last 50 or 60 years, I don't understand how right thinking people can still follow its principles.

Look at Sudan and the plight of the people. My question is this-why have not the people of Islam reached out to help the poor of their own faith? When they do donate which is usually during their holiday EID they give to only muslims, but the Gulf countries alone have great wealth and could make a huge dent in the lives of their fellow believers. Yet, look at the majority of the aid to all nations in need is from America or Christian programs. Christians help all people not just Christians. Hard for me to understand such greed and hatred that they have for their own followers.

Shariah law is a stable static pattern of value; a dynamic intellectual pattern will come about to change it .
waiting for this inevitability is of greater morally quality than creating a social vacuum by destroying the present static pattern.
p.s democracy has withstood many teddy bears being named without a vote already.

There are people in all faiths who have stopped believing in their respective religion, but after that they do not turn to outright hate for the religion as is the case in Islam . Apostles in Islam just hate Islam and are full of disgust for Islam. There are more intellectuals leaving Islams everyday and more nuts converting to Islam (eg Mike Tyson who converted for a few hours and more nuts in the Nation of Islam under the prophet Farakhan)

one must come to understand that democracy and islam cannot exist in the same country. take a look at the 53 muslim countries today. they all are ruled by a dictator and the mullahs. they work hand in hand to oppress the people and keep them in the dark ages. how can you teach them about the mullahs and the evil of islam if they aren't even allowed to read the koran?

Oh, we aren't daft enough to allow shariah law to be the only law. If it does, well my friend, i'll go to the moon.

Sharia law is an abomination obviously. It treats humans like garbage.
That is Islam but that isn't right.
