WELL... I'd feel way to guilty if I told you what I'm lying about... but I am lying... but it's been told by another person as well, so I know they might not belive, but there's no sure fire way to prove I'm lying...

thank you everyone for your answers! Everyone was all too helpful! As I promised, first complete answer wins, but everyone was SPECTACULAR! I just got home from court, and I didn't have to pay the $266 fine, but instead, since the judge was so gracious, I need to do 20 hrs of community service by Feb. 1! WOOHOO! thank you so much, everyone!

Ok so you didn't say why you are going to court, but you really just have to relax. Remember to breath and take your time answering any questions. If you don't understand a question, make sure to ask for it to be repeated. Hopefully, you are already dressed appropriately. NO jeans, t-shirts, or tennis shoes. Try khakis and a nice shirt.

Good Luck !

Tell the truth, the whole truth and stick to the facts. Your a minor, they expect you to be nervious. Just remember, you are you and tomorrow is promised to no one. If you did wrong accept the punishment, if you did not, tell the truth about the matter. Keep it simple and stright forward. If you don't know the answer say so. If you do then tell what you know of it. If you are in the middle between knowing only part of the answer, tell the judge so and tell what you know. This always work great in a court. Short answer work the best.

As a prosecutor I can't tell you to lie in court, and I won't. I will however tell you that you are risking a perjury charge if you do lie. Is it worth that to lie for someone else?

PS. This thread would be evidence if they were to charge you with perjury.

Tinkerbell, you sound like you are about 14 years old and raised in a sterile box.
Guilty people go free every day.
Innocent people go to prison every day.

If you lie on the stand it's called perjury... that carries a stiff punishment.

What did you do? Its hard to act not guility if you did something wrong. On the other hand, if you didn't do anything wrong then there's nothing to worry about - right?
