saying he don't like drama and like to keep his private life private... Can somebody give word of wisedom or tell me why this bothering him etc?

Because he likes to keep his private life private, just as he said. He doesn't like others sticking their noses into his business. And he probably doesn't like people spreading gossip or girls trying to be evasive and getting others to find out how a guy feels about them.
When dealing with guys I would suggest you try not to make it complicated. When they say something it pretty much is what they mean without there being some hidden agenda.

Some people, like me, don't like having their personal lives as a topic of discussion and women tend to be gossipy. This is a huge turn off for men. It seems as though you and your friends/family are pushing the issue and it is obvious that he doesn't like it.
Quite frankly, it may have ruined your chances with this one. Next time, keep things to yourself. Getting other people involved in your personal choices shows a lack of maturity.
