Olmert's Kadima-Labour coalition has committed itself to a policy of 'convergence', which actually entails disengagement from the Palestinians for the notional good of both sides. But withdrawal from Gaza did not achieve any good for anyone, so unless Olmert manages to pull something out of the bag following Annapolis, peace efforts will be abandoned for another few years and Israel's right-wing will regain power.
If that happens, I expect that Bibi Netanyahu will become prime minister once again.
Londoner In Israel
As for my opinions of Netanyahu, he is a very shrewd politician and Israel's greatest orator. His policies are certainly more hard-line than I would like, but if peace efforts hit a dead end then defending Israel's security will become paramount, and he will be a good man for doing that.

I could suggest our out going Prime Minister John Howard as he is out of a job now.
You cannot have Kevin Rudd as he has just been elected by a landslide.
Maybe the Teacher of Righteousness would be a good start.

Olmert is not going to be elected again... he has 2% support among the people... the problem is that he can make a lot of damage until then...
