2 minutes is a long time when you're feeding a family in the morning and it takes over ten minutes to make toast for everyone. lol. I love ignorant answers from children.

Humor I can understand. Sorry to be snippy... without the other information 2 minutes taking too long does sound silly. :)

2 WHOLE minutes?? lol...sorry for the sarcasm...but are we really in that much of a rush?

understandable...and while my answer wasn't necessarily helpful, it was typed with humor- I see no reason why you need to be snippy.

edit #2... :+) I'll try and save my sarcasm for more deserving questions

As I'm not sure what country you're from, I'll suggest the ones I know of that are made here:

Black and Decker is a very good brand, as is Proctor Silex, and they each make models with four slots, saving you half the time right there.

With a large family, a four slot toaster is a must have item, unless you want to go old fashioned and toast in your oven, or, even better still you can get a large size toaster-oven combination, which can hold 6 slices at once. Even more time saved!

How about buying one that can make many at the same time and buy a power-surge timer so that you can choose exactly when to have them cooked in the morning?

Russel Hobbs make a good, reliable toaster and its quite fast with "frozen slice" settings and all
