I've just recently finished a competition and was packing up the event. we were suppose to end at 5 but we decided to pack up at 4 cos the turn out was bad. Sound systems were to be returned by 5.20 and was packed up and ready to go by 4.30. She insisted that we were to bring it back ASAP cos, that's very important and I just commented that "it was still early because that lady in-charge mentioned latest 5.20, so what's the rush?" and I was being called childish.

Just 2 questions here.
1) What's so childish about that? (Please answer truthfully, Don't need to worrry about me haunting you about this when I die, even if you're the only one who thinks I'm childish.)
2) What would have been the best way to react to this situation?

I don't see the big deal in it. Doesn't seem too childish to me. I can see how someone would want their stuff back asap, but not wanting to rush because you finished ahead of time isn't childish. Some people are asses, so just don't worry about it, and don't mention that there's no need to rush next time.

1. I think that your comment could have been interpreted as backtalking.
2. I think you could have just said nothing and returned the equipment at a normal pace.

It's not nice of your teachers (or anyone else) to call you names.

Next time your teacher (or whoever) is getting ready to call you a name, just say this: "You really don't want to get into the name-calling contest with me, ma'am, cause I'll win!"

I doubt they'll try to call you names ever again!

Or if it happens again, you can tell on her to her boss.

Cheers
