I don't mind people tellingme I'm attractive. In fact I think it is a compliment. However, the staring is seriously getting to me. I feel like I am being treated like a ststue. I dress very conservatively, but I am thinking about wearing less flattering colors. What should I do to stop the staring.

Maybe you're the best looking person to grace the bank? Think of it as a compliment! Don't over-think this too much since no one is getting hurt and you are being complimented indirectly. Enjoy your day.

Avoid and ignore which obviously you are not doing that is why you are able to observe that they are staring you. Concentrate on your work which is a quite a responsible one of a teller. Customers come and go and you can never control their behavior. What you can control is yourself so work on it.

There's not much you can do about it. If in fact you are as attractive as you are implying...there's nothing short of making yourself ugly that can be done. Men stare at pretty women. It's what we do. So either learn to enjoy it, and just take it in stride, or shave your head, don't wear makeup, don't brush your teeth, and start wearing loud Hawaiian shirts.

You have got great answers here..
Definitely you don't have to wear less flattering colors. Why do you have to go to such great lengths to change yourself? Be yourself, remain professional, remain pleasant, don't smile too much, don't get into casual conversations, ignore if someone's irritating you and, keep doing your work.

Gain a lot of weight, take testosterone so you can grow a beard, look like you just crawled out of a dumpster.
Other than that just get over it and deal. if your gonna be good looking then people are going to look. stop whining and take it as the compliment that it is

If this is happening repeatedly with the same customer, discuss it with your supervisor to see if there is a way that another bank employee could wait on that customer. It's completely their fault, not yours.

I know exactly what you mean. It is very annoying... it is nice for someone to throw a compliment your way but it is the ogling I cannot stand. The way someone stares can be very offensive. and the constant marriage proposals, and invitations to dinner by less than desirable men. Why cant the desirable men ask??
I wear a big fat diamond ring, less makeup, and no revealing clothing. save my prowess for after 5 PM when I go out.
