I'm planning to start using baking soda to whiten up my teeth and I'm thinking of starting using it like three times a day and then as my teeth start to whiten to go easy on it like only once a day and once a day but very little to none. What do you think? Is it a good idea? Thanks a lot. :)

You can also use smashed strawberries to whiten your teeth too. As long as you use a toothpaste too, the baking soda should work well.

Once a day would be OK, but it is abrasive and will wear away the enamel with frequent use.

Brush with Hydrogen Peroxide, it is very healing and will help whiten your teeth.

Bad for your teeth. It is very abrasive and removes the enamel from your teeth which does not grow back.
Use a whitening tooth paste instead!!!

No it is not..If you want to whiten you teeth buy the strips on any CVS.. Baking soda makes your teeth weaker and takes the natural polish away . I tried that before and I didn't like it. It is safer to use the stripes!

I'd just use it twice a day as it's abrasive and will wear away your teeth eventually!

Bad idea, only use it once a month. I also use it sometimes.

it might work but it will take a long time. it can also increase sensitivity.

also, NEVER use full strength peroxide in your mouth, it causes black hairy tongue http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/black-hairy-tongue/HQ00325
