Should moderate Muslims be marching?

- through the streets of London protesting about the treatment of this poor teacher JUST as thousands of Muslims marched, screamed and burned British flags when Rushdie was knighted?

Where are all the protests from the peace-loving members of Islam? This is a genuine question: where are they???

Secondly, you really should try reading some of the websites maintained by ex-Muslims about the reality of Islam. They are real eye openers.

Also, Islam is growing from it's higher birth rate, not mass conversions, and the birth rate is starting to drop off as the countries modernise. The majority of European converts (4 of 5) are women converting to marry Muslim men. Christianity has a much higher conversion rate, and a lot of Muslim Africans are converting to Christianity, about six million a year (from an Islamic source). Also, 75% of new Muslim converts turn apostate within a year.

Maybe you need glasses, maybe you just dont see them or hear about them, maybe you are weak minded/hearted, why should'nt Muslims march? why should Muslims march? Muslims march if they belive its right to, this case about the teacher in Sudan is totally different to the case of rushdie, you cant compare it, some ppl did burn flags yes but doesnt mean its the same ppl who are marching now? dont think so, wake up lady & smell the coffee, am a Muslim convert & i can tell you Muslims are some of the nicesnt, civilised ppl in the world, they do what is right, they do what is necessary, they dont do to please others or to put on a show, you cant compare every Muslim to eachother, each Muslim is different to eachother, where are the Non-muslims when the masscares occured in Bosia, Palestine, Afghanistan, Sudan & many more Muslim Nations? yes there were some protests but not much as even the Muslims protesting now against the Sudanese case, your one of those who cant accept Islam how it is, cant accept reality, facts, the truth, fact is Islam is a fast growing religion, belive me as a convert, trust me, ppl from all walks of life are converting, rich, poor, intelligent, attractive, whites, blacks, aborgineas, Nordics, i can go on & on, there will be many Non-Muslims who would put Muslims down & try to degrade them & islam, why? because they fear reality, they know the truth, they use excuses oh Muslims are killers bla bla bla when infact they know the truth, some are just uneducated weak minded/hearted fools, why should Muslims march anyway about this Sudan case, if this is toi be a minor case then what about next time when somone names something out of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)? Muslims dont want to use this a stepping stone so ppl can mock the religion, Muslims are very sensative about their faith, so they should be, look at Christianity, look how ppl mock Prophet Jesus (Peace Be Upon Him), look how they can name & say anything about Christanity, make films out of, make comedy out of, etc, Muslims dont want that, we have our limits so to should rest of the world, our laws are justfied, thats why there is less crime in the Muslim world then is in the non-Muslim world, im not saying this teacher shud be lashed or jailed but just given a warning maybe, that would seem fair but its the principle, stop stirring up & looking to downgrade Islam, you wont succeed , trust me as a fellow Briton ex-Non-Muslim, Peace.

On the deepest level of their religious beliefs (meaning, what the Koran teaches) is there such a thing as a moderate Muslim?

When it comes right down to it, if Muslims *could* impose Sharia law on the world, *wouldn't* they? Do we really think that "moderate" Muslims would rise up and demand rationality from their fellow Muslims? I doubt it.
