I think they don't like bears, maybe they would prefer a Teddy Camel.

An ode to Mohammed the bear
Now my friends don’t shed a tear
For the now famous teddy known as Mohammed the bear
For many I know just don’t seem to care
Except for the teacher now under Sudanese prison care
If another story like this one gets broke on the air
I will take my right hand and pull out my hair
I don’t understand why the ones who wear
Those cute little diapers upon their hair
Have such a huge problem with this snuggly little bear
Some I believe would wish him dead
All because his name is Moham-med
An honor it should be I would think
Why all the fuss? Why all the stink?
Why a little bear is considered such a fink?
It makes you one wonder out loud
How can a Muslim feel proud?
To be a part of a religion so morally skewed
If we can’t find an answer, I believe we are screwed.

Yes, there is a BIG difference between what they say and what they do.
I suppose some are ignorant of all the facts of the case, and they may think they are displaying their devotion to their allah by doing this sort of thing.
What I do know, is the journalists in those countries are not concerned with writing or speaking the truth. Their reports are twisted to support whoever is in power. In many cases, it is pro-islam. Check out some of the Egyptian papers online sometime.

Same reason strict fundamentalist in this country wish to force their point of view on every one else. It's called intolerance. While the incident on the surface seems egregious, in actuality the Sudanese court arrived at a fair verdict. This Englishwoman moved into a Moslem country by choice. When you live in a host country you abide by the host country's laws and do not attempt utilize your home countries rules. I don't think the woman can claim that she was unaware that Moslems are not radicalized--look at the world around us. I'm not the smartest man in the world but I have enough sense not to be living in a Moslem country under Moslem law and naming a teddy bear after their Prophet. That was sheer stupidity on her part--she is personally responsible for the choices she made. The Sudanese court well understood they weren't going to execute her--and they understood that to keep the peace in a nation ruled by Moslem law they could not let the act pass completely. 10 days in jail and deportation was a reasonable verdict. Obviously the woman needed to leave the Sudan--if she had so little sense as to do what she did.

Islam is the religion of hatred and intolerance. This is what happens when your entire society, your culture and your government are based on a religion that teaches persecution, revenge and violence against any "non-believers". The people calling for her execution are no more than blood thirsty barbarians who are still living as if it was the 6th century.

It's so hard to believe that I wonder if it's not just their way of saying, "bad" to talk about beheading anyone who disagrees with them. I mean, if they really did execute all the people who have been "sentenced" by the extremists, they'd be in even worse trouble than they are now. Execution for an unintentional breach of etiquette is a bit hard to believe.

It is beyond understanding.
If this is such an offense then why do they allow people to have the name of Mohammad? It is all very inconsistent and makes for a living environment of fear and hatred..

They idolized Mohammed and they don't even realize it, and they are insane over protecting his name.
It's outrageous -- especially when Muslims try to justify her punishment in some way. It can't be justified.
