what is Yule Log?..i mean theres no where in the Bible that says watching yule log is bad on christmas...its never a sin.

What is the Yule Log? I don't believe I've ever heard of it. What would make it a sin to watch? This is a pretty intersting topic.

You don't say what your "beliefs" are..so as a fellow non-christian I can only say do what you enjoy. If it pleases you to watch the log...do it! Yule is also observed by non-christians and has been for centuries long before there were christians....enjoy the season of giving and don't worry if it's ok or not.

I don't believe it is because the youle log originated from non-christian origins if I am correct.it has been awhile, but i believe the yule log has pagan history. It depends on whose opinion you are seeking on the sin, the person watching ,or those involved in the ceremony. Hope this helps you

First of all, how can something be a sin for one group of people and not for another??
As a committed Christian (hopefully not one who needs to be committed :) ), I think that the program would make great background setting for a dinner party format or a come-and-go party format. I don't think I could sit and watch for three hours without a break, but what a nice time of contemplation and family conversation.
Watch and enjoy! I don't think God will mind!

I couldn't think of anything better to do than to stare at a TV watching a log burning. (NOT!) uh - does "get a life" mean anything?
I think that wasting that much time IS a sin.
