second shift genearlly means afternoon into night (but not past midnight as that would be third shift or graveyard).
times vary company to company but all mean afternoon-night shift.

4pm to midnight is common. Add 30 minutes for a "lunch break/dinner break." call it 4pm to 12:30pm. But it may vary from company to company.
