The Black Mamba is that the most dangerous in the world or just in Africa ? what is the worlds most dangerous snake.
When I served in Belize we had to have lectures about a Fer-D-Lance (not sure if that is the right spelling).
Get well soon Paul.

The most poisonous venom is the sea snakes but they also have weak jaws and short fangs-most time cannot penetrate a standard wet suit they are also non-aggressive so few bites but you are basically dead if the venom gets into your system. Fer de Lances are aggressive and deadly so more dangerous. I think there is a snake inn Australia that is very deadly but is also relatively rare. Bamboo vipers are nasty also; lectures about them is Se Asia and heard they were among the deadliest so who knows. I know the Mamba's are bad but then most snakes in general are. My wife's peaceful soul is gone when it comes to snakes-they should be exterminated and wiped out from both thought and world. Besides those she prefers I catch things and send the outside if possible....snakes even outside must be destroyed. She's Irish also, Norman Irish being a Fitzgerald, so I either kill them on sight or pay a heavy price, the temper is all Irish.

The Inland Taipan, native to Australia is the worlds most venomous snake, but seeing as fatalities are 1 - 2 per year it is probably not the deadliest. The Black Mamba is Africa's most venomous and is among the 10 deadliest in the world although it can be a rather aggressive bugger - they will come looking for you if you piss them off, it is not Africa's deadliest, here the Puff Adder seems to top it off killing more people than the Mamba.
