Christians, If when You and I pray to the lord almighty, as I understand, sometimes your prayers become true, sometimes they will not come true(Never), and sometimes the G.O.D man makes you wait a long time before it becomes true. Think about this, with these Statistics couldn't I just pray to, lets say..... my Playstation 3 and get the same results??

Many moons ago people prayed to different gods.
Why "this God" won the popularity contest and still remains in first place is beyond me.

Indians worship tobacoo. The Government tells us tabacoo is bad for us.

And people wonder what makes us turn atheist?
Seems pretty simple to me.

That is a funny way of seeing it. I see it this way (which is not the way it's viewed by all,) prayer is what I do to strengthen my bond with the Lord. I only ask for the strength to do his will. strength to stand up and be counted for and the ability to conduct myself as a better example of His people. I have a ways to go (a really long way!) The Lord know what I need. Why would I ask for silly things.

If I pray for a new car and I get a new car. Does that mean my prayer was answered? Or did I just get what I was trying to get anyways. And there's nothing wrong with my old car, I just wanted a new one. Why would I ask the Lord who is to be feared for stuff for me? Even if I need transportation in my eyes, the Lord knows what I truly need (Salvation!) If I go to Church and find myself in need I have a whole group of brothers and sisters there to help.

I am not a christian, nor joined to any other religion and have often asked myself the same question. The answer is, yes you could. if there was a god, who was there to create god?? Its all about chance, I might pray for say a nintendo Wii for xmas, and not get it till new year, purely because they sell so fast.. i cant explain the mechanics, but im pretty sure i could pray to my lampshade and stuff will start to happen

First of all you need to know who you are praying to, You said G.O.D. man, God is not a person but a spirit.

God supplies your *needs*. Everything else is a luxury, and not edifying to your spirit. Your needs are food, shelter, and family. If you pray for wholeness in those areas, God *will* answer your prayer affirmitively. If you ask for anything else, you might just have to wait.

Your odds at the play station are slim to none if you don't have your other spiritual business in order.

Your choice of course, but it's highly unlikely that your Playstation gives a rat's patootie about your spiritual or emotional growth.

Himself does and while sometimes the answer to your prayer is "no" or "not at this time", you come to see after awhile, that He was right to make you wait or to deny you. For by doing it at HIS speed and time, you end up a winner every time!

Prayer are all answered in God's timing and for our good...many time when we pray, we really don't know what is best for us, but God always does...If we pray in God's will and for the glory of God, He will answer our prayers...your playstation 3 does not know what is best for you, and it doesn't care...so I personally would pray to God...than an idol...Merry Christmas

Yes. It's as much a God as the empty air that people pray to. At least IT'S something tangible...

you are all mixed up about what is important. You seem very 'me' oriented. Can you not open up your heart and see what is needed for your nieghbor? You'll never know unless you put down that joystick and meet them and talk with them,,and show compassion and care and act upon what they need instead of obsessing upon your own. Doing good deeds for your neighbor is like that of having a prayre answered because it makes the world a better place.
