Ha! I like this one. You are so very true my friend...In my opinion the bible is just a book re-made by the government to keep the citizens in line. The bible was made so people are kind, peaceful, and caring and all that good stuff. The thing that really makes me upset about the holy bible is how the devil turns into a evil snake or some b.s. like that! But i being a care taker of all things cold blooded have found out that there is nothing evil about snakes! What if the bible said "The devil then disguised himself as a evil bunny to kill adam and eve!" I wonder how people would then think of bunnies?

The difference is that these brilliant (atheist) scientists have plenty of knowledge about science, but lack spiritual knowledge and understanding that will help them in the afterlife. Everything they know about this worldly life will do them absolutely no good at the moment of their death. they may not believe because they cannot prove scientifically. Humans are spiritual, always have been. Some are not allowing that natural spirituality to develop. They may be more educated but that doesn't make them "smarter" than believers. they are highly educated fools.

I'm not a Christian, so don't hit me. But I used to be a Christian, and my mother was a Sunday school teacher.
To me, the explanation is simple. The Bible was written at a time when the concept of science was very esoteric, very limited, and in the hands of a very, very few people. The whole idea of taking such an old book seriously is what is so foolish. It is, at most, of interest to the history of religion.

The difference here is the difference between Wisdom and Knowledge. Scientists and other intelligent people often have Knowledge but no true Wisdom. Wisdom is knowing how to live your life in harmony with God & humans.

Beinig foolish is not the same thing as being ignorant or uninformed. You can be the smartest person in the world and still make foolish decisions.
Obviously you don't believe in God. But if God exists, not following after Him would have to be considered foolish. That is the point of this statement in Psalms.
