Are you really, seriously, ok with believing that other people, if not "saved", are going to be sent to Hell by your "loving" God, to suffer unimaginably for all eternity?

Really?

Well, there's the answer, time after time.
It's OUR choice, we made the wrong one, and that makes it OUR fault.
That takes any blame off of them, their god, their point of view, or their efforts to SAVE you from hell, and places it squarely on the shoulders of anyone who dares to doubt or have a difference of opinion.
They never take the blame for anything. It's always the fault of atheists or Satan.
How is it MY fault?!
I feel like Charlie Brown!

I think that there is an immediate consequence for breaking Gods laws. It's something like jumping out of the window on the 10th floor and hitting the concrete and dying. Gravity was not cross with you, it was just a natrual consequence of breaking a law of naturef(which I think are also Gods laws) By preaching consequence delayed, you are encouraging people to do the wrong thing. You will get what's coming to you in the here and now. (good and bad)

No, Eternal suffering isn't Biblical. If you look up the original words and their meanings... Hell is used as 'the grave". The whole burning eternity thing was to scare people into the Church. God wants people to come to Him out of love, not fear.

People also take the "Parable" of Lazarus and the rich man and try to read it literally. It was a PARABLE! It was showing the the Jews (who were rich in spiritual knowledge but refused to do as God commanded) would be punished or destroyed ( I believe the term in this was gahenna (SP?) which was a garbage burning place outside the city.) The Gentiles ( who did not have much knowledge of God) Would use what little they had to worship God and would be blessed.

If God was going to punish people for eternity... why did he tell Adam, if you eat of this tree you will die. He didn't mention anything about eternal torment.. He said DEATH.

That's not how it actually works, despite the propaganda foisted upon the world by Western Christianity. Hell is not a "place" but a condition, and that condition is a matter of free choice by individuals capable of making that free choice. God will know everyone's true capacity to choose and judge accordingly.

Just a caveat -- the concept of eternal torment does NOT come from Judaism. Christians have borrowed it from Zoroastrianism -- the battle between good and evil.

The Bible does *not* teach eternal torment, not even for Satan himself. It is eternal loss of life, eternal destruction, eternal non-existence-- AKA: "the second death", spoken of in Revelation:

"Death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire." --Revelation 20:14 http://watchtower.org/bible/re/chapter_020.htm?bk=re;chp=20;vs=14;citation#bk14

Ha'des is the common grave of mankind. The lake of fire is where Satan & all his followers are 'thrown'... It is obvious that death & the grave are incapable of suffering torment. Besides, God does *not* approve of torture, but calls it *detestible*!:

"Furthermore, they [apostate Israel] built the high places of Ba′al that are in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to make their sons & daughters pass through [the fire] to Mo′lech, a thing that I did not command them, neither did it come up into my heart to do *this detestable thing*, for the purpose of making Judah sin." --Jeremiah 32:35 http://watchtower.co.uk/bible/jer/chapter_032.htm?bk=jer;chp=32;vs=51;citation#bk35

Death is the total cessation of life. The second death is without hope of resurrection or reactivation.

Even I am certain that hell exists, . at least, if we suppose, it does, I will be saved , you no .but if it doesn't ,we two get the same assort after death. so, believers are winners in the 2 cases.

What really bothers me is people who blame my God for their shortcomings. You have a choice. It's a simple choice. If you choose not to trust in Jesus Christ, what more can anyone, including God Himself, do. The ball is in your court. Deal with it.

If you think this is some kind of hate message, think again. I do not want you to suffer in hell, but I can't make the choice for you and it frustrates me that your heart is so hard you won't listen to what God says.

it is not the action of God that condemns them but the exercise of the choice of the individual; God is loving; he gives chance after chance and opportunity after opportunity; it is not the victim approach; it is the choice ; you choose it or not; no one is holding a gun to someone to believe or not; you were given a gift to choose him freely; free will = free choice = heaven or not ; your choice not Gods; by your own hand and actions you determine your path; it is the choice to believe in ones own ego selfishness, greed; that is what is hard to give up for many people ; to believe in God would mean that is isn't just about me me me; and that is a choice ; everything else is easy to follow if not for it is all about ME. They choose ME and ME alone. Many people know that isn't fullment and gets old after a while; look at all the celebrities , they have everything that ME can bring and still ME doesn't bring happiness; and now look at people that have God and have little and they are happy beyond what material and self can bring.

People send themselves to hell. It's their decision here on earth.
