I saw a beautiful morn dawn.
A glorious chilly day.
The wind was crisp and cool.
It took my breath away.
I heard Him in the sunrise
,I felt Him in the breeze.
His love was written in the water,
Displayed in all the trees.
I knelt within the chapel.
Felt His warm embrace.
I cried when He came to me.
There was no disgrace.
I thanked Him for the Sacrament
.Begged Him to remain all day.
To guard my mind and heart
.And help me not to stray.
He's with me still this moment.
Within my soul He does dwell.
Dear God let me go to Heaven
As there is no Communion in Hell!

Beatifully written! very profound i love how you discover Him in nature

"I heard Him in the sunrise
I felt Him in the breeze.
His love was written in the water,
Displayed in all the trees"

and in the Church:

I knelt within the chapel.
Felt His warm embrace.
I cried when He came to me.
There was no disgrace.

You have truelly captured a moment of grace received when we go to Our Lord in humility with a repentant heart in the sacrament of the Eucharist

Bless you sister

The only time I felt truly spiritual in my time as a Christian was when I took the Sacrament of Communion - outdoors at that. It's a lovely poem... but you know how I feel about meter & rhyme! ;-) Actually, though, as a non-Christian, it spoke to me anyway. You do a good job in the first half of just expressing connection with the divine, regardless of what name that divine may bear.

There's rhyme and rhythm, but there's nothing that would keep me reading past the first few lines.

Keep on.
