Im not a christan nor have any particular religon but ido belive in a high power im looking into buddishm and other eastern religons. My dad is athiest well not really he belives god is man . And even though he is athiest he very nice generous and follows all of the commandments a christan is suppose to follow he grew up catholic untill he left the house and 18 and followed his own belifs. When i tell anyone my dad is athiest they say his the anti chirst and his going to burn in hell forever. Well hell cant be so hot if one can be in it forever and never achually burn ? they couldent answer that it seems as if christanity is the most unintelligent religon. I mean most muslims ,buddisht, taoist, have studied science throughlly. And unlike chirstain dont go around trying to debate other beliefs such as"if we came from apes why are thier still apes around" that must be the dumbest poorest excuse for a debate ive ever heared . Though my dad is athiest he never tries to push his beliefs on

We have no morals.
We think that life is hopeless and have nothing to live for.
We worship Satan.
We are bad parents.
We are hypocrites for observing "Christian" holidays (I don't, but have seen other atheists accused of this).
We cannot be trusted because we answer to no authority (as if the cops don't exist).
We are "militant" and will not hesitate to destroy the faith of other person (in my case that's true, but not for all atheists)
We are unpatriotic, living as we do in a "Christian nation"
We are Communists (that one was really popular right about when John Lennon was singing about imagining "all the people living for today")
We have no knowledge of the Bible
Atheism is a religion of non-faith (that one always makes me laugh), we worship science, and Richard Dawkins is our non-spiritual leader
On spirituality, we cannot be spiritual (many atheists are)
And yes, of course, a "gentle, loving God" is going to send us to Hell, to burn for all eternity after we die, unless, of course, some Christian "saves" us.

Some Christians tend to think that...
- atheists have no morals
- atheists are bad and selfish people
- atheists are being controlled by Satan
- atheists have nothing to live for
- atheists really believe that God exists, we just reject him
- atheists worship themselves or money/possessions
- atheists are unpatriotic (that goes especially for Americans)
- atheists cannot be trusted
- atheists know nothing about religion and have never read the Bible
- atheists cannot be spiritual
- atheists follow an atheist religion (in fact we are atheists because we DON'T follow any religion)
- all atheists believe in evolution and the Big Bang
- atheists don't believe in God because they have been hurt in the past by not having their prayers answered
- when we use national holidays such as Christmas to do something special we are "stealing Christian holidays" (the hilarious part is that those holidays don't even originate in Christianity in the first place)
- we will suddenly start believing in their God if they just tell us a little bit about Jesus or remind us that we are (according to their beliefs) going to hell if we don't
I think it's sad that such ignorant and narrow-minded people exist in the year 2007. Fortunately not all Christians are like this though.

i think of it fairly is greater of any different way around. religious human beings have a tendency to think of that each help or something good won, is from god, despite if or no longer it fairly is unquestionably a man or woman helping them from the goodness of their hearts. And whilst something undesirable occurs, homicide, conflict(ahem), famine.. wager who's fault it is. devil! yet, i,as an atheist, have faith that the coolest and the undesirable, are all from the doings individuals human beings. No divine intervention. in simple terms us. There are undesirable apples in each community. And as much as i desire the worldwide to be a non violent place, it will never be finished. seem at historic previous, commencing from 2000 years in the past till finally now. no longer as quickly as replaced into there worldwide peace. basically a worldwide finished of violence. unhappy, yet oh nicely, we in simple terms hafta stay

First thing, No one's an atheist. And most of the christian who thinks without their heads says those things. But not all christian are like that(like me). I think your dad will not burn in hell. He still might though if he turns bad or something.
and the christians that you asked is not thinking clearly. If they think clearly then they'll say that you can belief what you wanna belief. They say those stupid things because they're too fanatic. So don't worry too much!!!

They think they can covert me and then they try. Which is very silly and very dangerous. I am militant in my stance to keep people from trying to force religion upon my person.
Good luck with your search.
I have a Higher Power to.. Which is love, it's a power greater than myself, available to all who seek and it's everywhere.
Peace.
BTW: I don't know if I'm an Atheist or a really suspicious Agnostic.
