I am not asian.

Irish, German, American

No asian at all.

And it doesn't go away, it just stays red, and I start to get warm.

it could be a reaction to the hops, or malt or the yeast.

Are you Asian? People of Asian and Native American descent do often have "asian flush" when they drink alcohol... it can really mess with them.

Does it happen with other booze?

I think it's possible to have a beer allergy, because any fermented grain can certainly have an impact on your system. I react much more to beer and red wine. I drink a lot of mixed drinks and people think I'm trying to be an alkie but it's just easier on my body.

Don't worry it goes away after about 30 minutes, I have the same thing happen to me. Now, the more often you drink the less likely it is to happen. But, if you take a break for about a week, the next time you drink it will happen again. Be a man and drink through it and don't worry about it.

red cheeks isn't a problem, but a physical threat is. Allergic reactions leave you gasping for air, breaking out into hives, watering eyes, etc.
