Do black women relax their hair in an effort to be like white women? Do they bleach their skin in an effort to be like white women? Do they get nose jobs in an effort to be like white women? NO, NO, and NO!

Neither do white women tan in an effort to be like black women. And they don't plump their lips or get butt jobs to be like black women either.

I'm speaking IN GENERAL, of course. I'm sure there may be a few morons who actually alter their physical features in an attempt to acquire the characteristics commonly associated with particular groups of people.

That being said, generally speaking, women make changes to their appearance because they are either following what they believe to be the currently accepted standard of beauty or they simply think they would be more attractive if they made certain changes. For the most part, it's as simple as that.

Could it be that a simple case of other people wanting what others have?.
You know the scenario. Skinny girl, becomes friend of not so skinny, all of a sudden, diet and being skinny is paramount.
Television, Magazines have a lot to do with it.
Black women are different from some white, but only some. If you look at European cultures, women are somewhat bigger, than say Aussie, or white American.
We are all so inter migrated these days, that sooner or later, there will be the not so chocolate, not so white nation and it will just be the norm.
Personally I couldn't give a toot. People are people, no matter colour, race or creed. Your statement could also be stretched a bit further. What about Accents, because, again of TV, films, travel etc, we all love different accents. Like the Scottish, or Canadian, or Australian. I have noticed that Advertising companies use a variety of accents a lot. Maybe one day we will all speak the same too.
So enjoy your big lips, big booty and great teeth. As potentially in the future you may not be noticed or copied at all.
:-)

Well tanning is tanning just like black people that "bleach" their skin. Does it mean they want to be white?

Booty implants are usually done on women that have no butt at all and same with the lips. They aren't trying to be "black" just a little more evenly proportioned or to relive the youth they once had. Depends.

I'm white and in no way do I want to be black; I'm simply happy with my own skin. But I've thought about the collegen in my lips because when I was younger they were a little fuller with age they slim out and I want my younger lips back.

I, in no way shape or FORM try to be white. My hair has no chemicals in it. I dont bleach my skin. Everyone wants to be someone they are not. Thats the way of the world. Its just that Whites have a bad history and attachment to this so thats why it seems bad of them to make themselves appear more exotic. I mean who else has fuller lips and a big bottom than the stereotype of a Black and maybe Latina woman? You are looked upon in a critical light when your bottom is TOO big or your lips are TOO big, but at the same rate, people with no a.ss or lips want a little bit of what you have. Dont feel bad for the Whites though, they have the money to get these things. Money makes up for their lacking physical/emotional/psychological state. I mean this goes for all races, but more so with Whites, thats why they will go by any means to have lots of money. This is how they truly identify themselves. It is their identity, which is very very unimpressive without the glitter and glamour of money.

I have no idea but I wonder y do females color there hair all the time. They wanna be different. Many women with straight/fine hair perm it. Women with curly/nappy hair straighten it. I guess we all just wanna be different. Because of society, we feel we have to look a certain way. Its true sometimes it may be because were not happy with who we are. Or maybe because we just wanna change our appearance. What about those women that have lips not to big not too small. Skin complexions not to light not too dark. What are they left to do.....

Well, who said these women wanted to look more black? Maybe they just feel like getting a tan, or make their lips bigger, or have their butt bigger.

Well someone could say black women relax their hair because they are trying to be white. I understand what you are saying and to a certain degree their is a lot of truth to it, however to be honest I don't even think white women know why they alter themselves the way they do, beyond the standard they think it will make them look better. I know I don't waste my time trying to figure out why someone does something to themselves as it has nothing to do w/ me.

They say that to create a beautiful face you can superimpose 100s of faces on top of each other and the result will be most peoples standard of beauty....As it produces a symmetrical look....which we all like.

I also see very often that mixed race people tend to look better..

We are looking for a kind of average...medium.
...Not too black, not too white..A golden light brown.

So white people tan and black people user whitening agents...The more whites and blacks mix their Genes the more beautiful humans will become..

Black women do relax their hair to be look more white. Some of us do bleach our skin to be less black. Though it's not common, some Black women do get their noses sculpted so that they are less broad, less "ethnic," and don't get me started on the blue, green and gray contacts. Whether you are a white women tanning, dying your dark brown hair blond, injecting all sorts of chemicals and products into your lips, breasts, and buttocks, or a Black women poisoning your scalp to straighten your naturally kinky, coily locks, wearing blond wigs and bleaching your skin, they are all physical symptoms of self-hate. When you realize your own, distinct beauty, there is NO reason to alter it using such dangerous and drastic measures. We are all (women, especially) victims of a beauty industry campaign intent on making you feel ugly so that you can spend exorbatant amounts of money making yourself "beautiful." But who are they to dictate what beauty is? Love yourself exactly how God made you and people will not only be attracted to your confidence, but your strength, as well. I love my "nappy" hair, my full lips, my thick hips, and my brown skin and I pity the fool who feels otherwise :-)

I sometimes wish I had the traditional black womans body, beause I think its really beautiful. But I would never change myself. I can admit that black women are gorgeous without wanting to change my own appearance.
