My Child hasn't had one at all she's in the 4th grade and has NEVER had one. I think it's stupid, because when we were in school we had one, and the kids who weren't allowed to participate either got to go home or they did something else during that time.

yeah, I know. It is so stupid. They want to get rid of Christmas stuff because it's CHRISTmas. They won't even have a Christmas program at schools anymore. Luckily, I go to a private Christian school.

separation of church and state has gone too far. Our founding fathers were Christians and our laws were based on Christianity. I think we should at least be able to have an optional Christmas program. I'm an 8th grader and I had to do a speech on a topic sort of like this today for my religion class.

They've even gotten rid of the easter bunny at school (public schools) during easter. It's a bunny that lays eggs! what does that have to do with religion. The bunny isn't spreading the gospel of Christ and telling people how he rose from the dead. It-is-a-guy-dressed-in-a-bunny-suit-that-gives-out-eggs. it is an old pagan tradition.

Yes thank goodness, my son will be 6 soon and he will be the inn keeper in the nativity and will be singing "Away in a Manger" and "Little Donkey", unfortunatley I can't get time off work to go, so his grandparents are going to see him in the concert - keep up the tradition. It is fine to celebrate all festivals such as Hanukka Diwali etc to give kids a better understanding of other religions but not at the expense of our own cultures and beliefs.

My kids didn't have Christmas programs per se but, the chorus did perform. My youngest is now in 10th grade and, on the flags team, and they will be performing in 2 Christmas parades in nearby towns. That's about it.

YOu know, I am not sure they do. The school system here is kind of "out there " if you know what I mean. I am not sure why they do or do not do a lot of things. It is a shame that we have brought political correctness into such arealm as to ignore our Lord and Saviour's Birthday.
