news: pi doesn't have last digit, it is an irrational number. More than that: there is no pattern of its digits.
There is a movie called "Pi" in which a gifted mathematician tries to find a pattern in the digits of pi.
pi is not 22/7!
22/7 is only an approximation but it's not the same number.

Pi Has no last digit since its an irrational number but heres an intresting fact about pi descovered by Wilhelm Leibniz since Pi is a irrational it can be done in a fraction ...
pi = 4-4/3=4/5-4/7=4/9-4/11+4/13-4/15 and so on this comes from topics such as series and there is also Square root of 2 which is realy intresting = 1 = 24/60 = 52/60^2 +10/60^3

The absolute last digit of pi is a "4" in base 12, and there is a perfectly rational explanation as to why.
The digits of pi base 12 spell out a very beautiful melody. The digits of pi base 12, when lined up with the chromatic scale (12 musical tones) reveals the kind of musical structure a composer would use when selecting notes. The music of pi base 12 was ~intended~ to be found. It's like a calling card of the absolute intelligence in nature. So... why is the last digit a "4"?
Most great musical works are in the "key of whatever". C minor... A major... etc. Most of those great musical works start out in that key, chord wise, and after much journey, the final note of the song is the root that brings resolution back to the start. The Eternal Melody of Pi Base 12 begins in the key of "4", and although the digits go on forever, the final note to achieve musical resolution will be a "4".
Pi base 12 is mathematically irrational and the digits go on forever, but musically, it's perfectly rational and ends with a "4". It's anecdotal, but it's intuitive and artistically right on.
Here is a link to the song.

1.3511
A team of Japanese researchers at a leading national university has upended the entire scientific world by unexpectedly calculating the value of pi to 1.3511 trillion places, which is apparently the final digit in this number previously thought to be infinite.

since pi is non-terminating, non-repeating, there are no digits that have a common pattern, so the numbers in the decimals reach infinity so you can't know what the last digit is. just to let you know here is a long value of pi:
