I stay away from angry people, because it shows they don't have control over themselves and can get verbally abusive or even physical. There is no point on getting angry, because nothing gets accomplished and I have learned this as a little kid. When I get upset, I usually don't say much and let things cool off and come back the next day. This way, I know I can accomplish what I am wanting to. Everybody has control over their own emotions. Don't get angry, because this confirms, that you lost your battle.

When anger takes its toll, I am too exhausted to reflect on anything I said.

I set a rule for myself to never say anything in anger to hurt someone. My arguments sound more like a heated debate than a name calling event.

If I get in a name calling content then it is not in anger but to end the communication all together.

In short, I mean none of it because I don't even want to do it but sometimes it is not about what I want but what the other person wants.

Five seconds later when the words have stopped I move on.

Of course, some words hurt more than most. Say one of those and I will take it personally especially if I think you believe it, but; that is the other person and not me.

So, my answer is I mean what I say, but; I don't say things that are mean.

No, I don't, and that is why I try to avoid talking to the person I am angry with till the anger subsides and I am able to talk about things in a rational manner.
