Depends on what the compliment is!!!! I would say most of the time and only if it's a natural connection. I hate when ppl look you up and down like a piece of meat and then say something nice, which is not a compliment at all.

I was taught to always smile and say thank you. I may not agree with what they say but my parents said if you say something like, "oh no this ugly old thing I hate it" it gives the person giving the compliment the feeling that you do not agree with their tastes. So yes, I think I take them well I say a polite thank you and keep my mouth shut ;-)
